Happy World Book Day from 5th and 6th class!
Battle of the Boyne
After completing their projects on the Battle of the Boyne, 5th and 6th class were lucky enough to be visited by two local Battle of the Boyne reenactors. It was very exciting to hear all about the battle and see muskets, cannon balls, surgeons tools and lots more.
Here in 5th and 6th class, the pupils have been working with clay in art. The children examined the work of French artist Auguste Rodin and made clay busts, just as he did. The pupils had lots of fun shaping and moulding the clay!
Christmas Jumper Day
Norman Castles
5th and 6th class have been learning about the Normans in history. The pupils have been working very hard to create their own Norman castles. Look at their battlements, drawbridges and portcullis', we think they turned out great!
Europe Projects
5th and 6th class have been working in groups to create a project about a European country. The groups researched, created and presented their projects to the class. The pupils learned all about what life is like in Germany, Spain, Italy, Greece, Russia and Poland. We...
Construction Art
5th and 6th class have been busy making constructions in art class. Every pupil created their own imaginative form of transport. There was lots of interesting and imaginative creations. We think they turned out great!
Our Harvest
Pupils from 5th/6th Classes were asked to bring in some fruit vegetables and other items to represent the harvest. The whole school got behind this task. Here is a photo of what pupils and parents brought in. A big Thank you to everyone who contributed.
